Hannah's Girls Rock! Party
Yesterday was Hannah's birthday party to celebrate her 7th birthday. It was her first ever friend birthday party....very exciting! (Her birthday always falls over the Summer break and therefore we've always just celebrated at camp with family. I should also note that this was the first time she's ever asked for a friend party). The theme was Girls Rock Star party. It was from 5-8p and the girls were all welcome to come in their jammies.
Just about time for the party to start. No jammies yet for this rock star (this was the 1st of about 7 outfit changes of the evening)
The birthday girl and Emme! The fixings for a fun rock star party! Guitars, microphones, hair extensions, bandanas, and a Karaoke machine! Another station in the kitchen had "rock star" nail polish (really that's what it was called) and glitter tattoos.
Party favors. (they came with the deluxe party pack I ordered, but I thought the bags were adorable!)
The making of 10 rock stars!
Ironically, Hannah was one of two that wanted none of the fixings.
Emme was the other one (but it didn't seem to stop the fun)
Sophie,the rockstar
Hannah and some of her friends from school playing a game.
T-shirt coloring.
Maura and Felicity taking their time and doing a great job.
Emme doing an awesome job coloring her shirt.
All done!
Maura with her finished shirt.
and Anna. It was great to see them make it their own!
More dancing games (all of which they made up on their own).
Time for pizza.
and presents!
and cake!
The birthday girl with her new jammie shirt, beret, fingerless gloves, and scarf! So cool!CAKE and Ice Cream!
After cake and ice cream, it was time for some karaoke. Some of the girls were a little shy and needed encouraging.
Others did not!
Eventually, they all took turns (or sang together).
Even Charlie!
It was a super fun party (even for Mommy) and then to top off the night, Hannah got to have 1 of her friends sleep over for her very first sleepover!
Sophie and Hannah all ready for bed (in actuality, playing in her room).
And sleeping. OK, really this is completely staged. I said "pretend you are asleep" and this is what I got (both such good actresses).
Sleep did not come for many more hours and it finally took separating them for a few minutes for each of them to conk out. And this morning, the sun came up and so did they! 6a...we're hoping for a good day and an early bedtime tonight!
