Pawtuckaway State Park - Camping

While on vacation, we went camping at Pawtuckaway State Park in New Hampshire for 4 days.

When we got there, it was raining (really just drizzling) so Joe went to start setting everything up while we stayed in the car out of the rain.

Hannah finished watching her movie she had been watching

while Emme snoozed!  (She had been up in the middle of the night with a stomach bug of some sort so she needed the sleep)
Once the tent was set up, the girls loved playing in it while it continued to rain a little.
Since the rain didn't stop, and our fire pit was very wet, we all went out to dinner.  By the time everyone's tents were set up, it was quite late.  The restaurant had a high bar type table available for 13 so we took it.
And then the band started playing...good times.  OK, really the band started playing only when we were about to leave (thank goodness), but Hannah was so excited to see a real band (or as she put it, "rock star" - we'll let her have that one)
Day 2, nicer weather in the morning...time for some fishing.  It was great because from our campsites, we could see the kids fishing at the boat dock.  Thomas had his own fishing pole, but was happy to let others share (here he is helping Emme catch a fish - or as it turns out, grass)
Hannah and Sophie made their own fishing poles out of sticks and string.  They get an A for effort, but did not catch anything on their poles.
 Peek a boo
 Hannah caught a frog.
 and then a fish.
 More fishing fun.
Our campsite.  We loved this campground and will definitely be back!
After fishing, we headed to the beach for some swimming.  Kathryn was in the water with the littler ones entertaining them.  I must say, I did go in, but Emme much preferred Kathryn as entertainment.
 Hannah and Sophie.
S'mores, of course!  It rained that evening and so during some fun in the tent, Hannah used Sophie's purple lipgloss all over her eyes.
Kathryn ready with the s'mores fixings!
Emme and Amelia enjoying their treats!
Day 3 was a washed out morning with heavy downpour at times....crazy heavy, but the kids had fun playing in the rain while Emme napped in my arms under our "sun shade".  It finally cleared up in the afternoon and so we rented canoes.  All ready for some canoe fun!
The canoe trip was so much fun!  The lake had a bunch of little islands you could stop at, explore, etc.  We even found a rock we could jump off of into the water.  It was a lot of fun!
After canoeing, we stopped off at the camp store for more firewood and a treat.
And onto playground fun while Daddy started dinner.

By the last night, all of our friends had headed home and we had a quiet night to ourselves in front of the campfire before heading home the next morning.

Another successful (if not a little soggy) camping trip!
