The Allegres' visit Boston

Our friends, Melissa and Willie (Mel and I were roommates when I met Joe) came to visit us for a couple days while they were in the New England area.  We were so happy to see them and show them around Boston!

As usual, if you come to our house for a visit, you get lobsters (if you like them, of course).  The kids were watching Joe put the lobster to sleep.

Somehow, Hannah and Alexa discovered that lobsters could do handstands.
The next day, we went into Boston via public transportation.  Hannah was so excited to take the "surfing" train and to show Alexa.  The Green Line has the accordion type connectors that pivot so she likes to stand on that and "surf."
Make Way for ducklings statue.  These are the cutest ducklings!
On the Democrat donkey outside of the old city hall.
This tour of Bosotn included lots of stops for kids...like this one...a stop at the one of the water feature parks on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

Then it was on to a walk on the waterfront, a stop at the playground, and a trip through the North End for dinner at Lo Conte's and dessert at Mike's Pastry!

After dinner, we walked the Allegres' back to their water taxi (they stayed at the Hyatt near the airport the 2nd night since they had an early morning flight) and stopped to dance along the way.

One try at a pic of Mel and I with our kids before we said goodbye (maybe we should have tried it a little sooner).
So great to see old friends!
