Fire Station Visit and Drumlin Farm

Today we went to the fire station for a visit with Emme's playgroup. There were lots of firemen there to talk to the kids and one even got into full gear and let the kids hear him talk with his mask on. The goal was to make them less frightened should they ever be in a fire and a fireman came to save them...not sure if that really worked for this age group (of mostly 2 and 3 yr olds).

The kdis were then allowed to climb into the trucks and try on the hats...Emme like most of the other 2 and 3 yr olds opted out.

Then onto spraying the hose. A lot of the kids did want to do this, but still not Emme.

And then snack on the lawn! Such a nice day!

After the fire visit, we picked Hannah up and went straight to Drumlin Farm for a picnic lunch and to visit our animal friends.

The piglets are growing! When we got to the pig barn, all of the pigs were sleeping and then all of a sudden one by one the piglets woke up and wanted to nurse (the mama pig was still trying to sleep!).

After a couple of minutes the mama pig got up and rolled onto her tummy. Feeding time is over!

"What kind of pig are you?"

And since it was such a hot day, we stopped for some ice cream on our way home! Yummy.
