Emme's Big Girl Bed

Last month, Emme made the big transition to a big girl bed. We knew it was time when she absolutely refused to take naps in her crib and then convinced Hannah to take her out in the mornings. The first few nights were tough. There was a lot of giggling and not a lot of sleeping to begin with as the girls were just so excited (Hannah as much as Emme). By night 3, Hannah went upstairs a half hour early and fell asleep fully dressed on her bed. And from then on, it's been pretty easy (with a giggly night every now and then). After one particular giggly night, Joe and I found Emme and Hannah both sleeping in Hannah's bed.

Before and after.

No more crib!

Emme and her friend, Amelia, who I was babysitting. Nothing changed on this side of the room.

Along with the crib, we were able to get rid of the changing table as Emme has been potty training for the last month or so and no longer wears a diaper during the day. Our baby is getting so big!

We replaced the changing table with a dresser that organizes the girls' clothes so much better! Now all we have to do is move the pictures since the dresser is higher than the changing table...minor details.

I'm a big girl now!!!
