Drumlin Farm - baby pigs!

As promised, the girls and I went back to Drumlin Farm to see the baby pigs this week (the last time we went the mommy pig was pregnant and due within the week). The piglets were born April 26 and were just adorable! Of the 18 born (seems like a lot), 6 have survived and we got to see 4 of them (2 were in a special nursery away from public viewing).

They were running all around and had lots of energy.

Jack, Hannah, Anna, Elsie, and Emme (who wanted nothing to do with taking a picture with the group).

baa baa black sheep.

It is always fun to check in with our animal friends that we saw the last time we were there. Here is one of the kids that were just newborns on our last visit...getting bigger.

And then yesterday was a fun day spent around the house, with a trip to the playground thrown in. When we got home, Joe went to mow the lawn, I went to weed the flower gardens, and well...the girls made mud pies and played. Hannah's shoes after. She was not up for pictures and wouldn't stay still.

Emme was a little grumpy too...apparently playing in mud is fun right up to the point where you actually need to get cleaned up. Straight to the bath!
