Strawberry Picking

Last weekend, we went strawberry picking at Verrill Farms in Concord, MA.  We go the same place every year.  This was the first weekend it was open for picking and there were rows and rows full of strawberries!

 Emme is this excited for 1 strawberry, imagine how she'll feel when she gets the whole thing filled.

 Emme spent most of the time nibbling off the ends of the strawberries in her basket.

 What do you do with all of the very ripe strawberries?  Make strawberry shortcake for dessert!  Mmmm....
