Field Day
I am once again very behind on my posts, but here are a few pictures from Field Day at Hannah's school last week. It was a wet, cold day, but the rain held out long enough for the kids to play their games outside without getting wet.
A hula hoop game where they had to pass the hula hoop without using their hands.
Mrs. Azzone helped them get the right technique and they all did it so fast.
Baton relay races. This was my volunteer station. Here's Hannah doing it the traditional way and then we had them do it backwards...on one foot...sideways...(we had a lot of time to kill)
This relay was a funny one as they had to keep the ball between their legs while "running". Hannah managed to do it so easily and was pretty quick. Not all of the kids found it so easy, but it was adorable!
After all of the stations (8 in total), the kids got italian ice (not quite the refreshing treat it was supposed to be on this June day)
while the teachers had a water ballon toss. Hannah's teacher is the one raising her hands, quite pleased with herself that she caught the balloon.
In the end it was down to 2 teams, Hannah's teacher on one and her assistant teacher on the other. As it turned out, they both dropped the balloons on the same toss. A tie.
Even Emme had an italian ice. I was waiting for her to finish before we walked home. She made sure to get every last bit out.
