Memorial Day Weekend

For our 3 day weekend, we stayed local for some family fun time, gardening,  and lobsters.  It was a beautiful weekend and as the unofficial start to Summer, we went to our local spray park for some fun in the water and a picnic lunch.
 Such a poser these days!
Lunch!  A very quick stop for some lunch before heading back to the spray park and playground.
Each day, we did something fun as a family.  Sunday, we went hiking.  Hannah on the troll bridge.
And trying to catch butterflies (OK, posing for a picture of trying to catch butterflies)
 She caught one!
Hannah always likes to sit on this same spot...the tree has a "chair" in it.
Emme being silly with the butterfly net.
Hannah's turn.  Monkey see monkey do.
And then inside to visit our turtle friend.  He's lived there for 27 years, but because he is not native to this area (he hails from Kansas), he lives inside and not in the Turtle Pond.
And after our hike, we went out for lunch and ice cream!

Finally, on Memorial Day itself, we invited our neighbor, June, over for lobsters.  Hannah and Daddy with the obligatory lobster pose.
And while Daddy cooked the lobsters, Hannah and June read a book.
 Time for lobster!
 Gotta love 3 day weekends!!
