We just got back from our trip to visit Nana and Papa in North Carolina. Joe was there last weekend with us and then had to return to work while Hannah and I stayed the whole week. While Joe was there, his brother, Jeff came to visit with his son Parker who just happened to be turning 2 when we were there.

Hannah and Parker weren't exactly sure what to make of the other at first. And Parker was definitely not happy when he was building with his brand new Mega Blocks and Hannah was taking it apart as fast as he could build it. Eventually , they worked it out and all was well.

Joe, Uncle Jeff, Hannah, and cousin Parker.

Nana and Papa with their grandkids.

Nana and Papa live near the Palmlico (sp?) River so after dinner we went for a walk on the boardwalk. We saw a beaver, frogs, and lots and lots of turtles .

At a nearby mall, Hannah discovered the joy of riding on her first carousel with Papa.

During the week, we drove to Virginia Beach and Joe's sister, Sarah, drove down from Harrisonburg to see Hannah.

Hannah's favorite pastime at Nana and Papa's was the pool. By the end of our stay, she was jumping off the side of the pool into our arms.

She had so much fun and loved being spoiled by her Nana and Papa...

but it was time to go back to her Daddy and our boys.
