Last week, we went to Washington, North Carolina to visit Nana and Papa!
Emme's first plane trip!

Take Two! After everyone boarded the first plane and we were ready to leave, a brake error message came up and so we all got off only to reboard a different plane. Hannah made a friend with the little girl in front of her so they sat on the aisles so they could chat. Both of the girls did great! After the initial excitement of the plane, Emme and Mommy napped for most of the flight.

As promised, the first night we got there, we went in the pool. Hannah was so excited for Nana and Papa's pool and thought it was so cool to go in at nighttime.

A huge special treat....fluffernutter sandwiches. A peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich...a New England thing?? I had never had one either (and probably won't again either), but Hannah and Emme loved it!

Cuckoo for fluffernutter!

Out to dinner for Father's Day! Papa and Emme!

Nana and Papa live near the boardwalk in Washington (on the Pamlico River) so we took a walk to feed the turtles! Hannah and "Mr. Clean" aka Daddy! Joe shaved his head completely on Father's Day...

Once you dropped some bread, lots of turtles came over...you can even see a really big snapping turtle.

Emme checking out the turtles.

One of the girls favorite pasttimes...playing with the cats!

Hannah's all time favorite pasttime while at Nana and Papa's was swimming in the pool. We were in the pool 2-3 times a day. She would've been in more if she could have found an adult willing to go with her...Jumping off the side to Daddy!

Emme hanging out in her floaty. She was a good sport, but only liked the pool for half hour increments.

After a couple of days, Joe had to go to Raleigh for work, but the rest of us got to stay the whole week...meaning more POOL, feeding turtles, movies, naps, fun times with Nana and Papa.

Our little fish!

Snack time for Emme! Hannah couldn't wait to get into the pool so this was our compromise!

Sisterly love!

Hannah and Nana.

When it was time to go, we met Joe at the airport to fly home all together.

While it was blazing hot and humid in NC, we had a fun time and were sad to go....but happy to be home sweet home!
