Emme - 5 months

Hard to believe Emme is now 5 months old. I know I say this every month, but it just keeps getting better and better. She is so much fun and continues to learn new things constantly. Last week alone she rolled over for the first time and started sitting up all by herself. As for rolling over, she uses her crib to roll from her back to her tummy and then screams until we rescue her. Although with that, she has learned that when she does this ear piercing scream, Mommy comes running and now does the ear piercing scream anytime she feels like some Mommy love while laying in her crib.

She still likes her tummy time and has lots of smiles for Mommy, Daddy, and Hannah.

This past weekend was another camp weekend and Emme even ventured into the water fun! And here she is showing off her new trick of sitting up by herself. She started last week doing a tripod pose using her arms as support all of the time and then slowly has been letting go and sitting up. She loved putting her fingers in the wet sand.

And another of her new things, sticking her tongue out. One day it was as if she discovered "hey, I have a tongue" and now we see it all the time! It's pretty funny!

Teething is still going strong and with that comes major drooling! She loves chewing on everything, especially a cold washcloth! She has also figured out how to maneuver objects with her hands and pass them back and forth between her them. So much fun to watch her continuing development and see her personality evolve. Such a happy, easygoing baby (knock on wood this continues).
Next month starts solids...should be fun!
