Emme - 3 months

My how time flies....Emme turned 3 months old last week. It is amazing to me the changes in her in just 3 short months (which at times felt more like 3 years).

It is such a fun time now as she is full of smiles and starting to babble much more and will have full conversations with us. : ) Hannah told me one day that she said "milk". Too cute! And then this week, we've started hearing giggles too! Every day seems to be something new! Eating still seems to be going smoothly. She had her 1st cold last week which has caused a bit of trouble, but other than that, she nurses like a champ and is growing before our eyes! And of course, looking more and more like her Daddy! Sleeping is getting better and better too! I think getting her on a routine has really helped! She goes to sleep by 7p every night and then Joe wakes her up at 10p for a "dreamfeed" of sorts and gives her a bottle of expressed milk. That usually lasts her until 4a. After a quick feed at 4, she sleeps until 630 or 7a. Not too bad at all. Mommy is no longer sleep deprived! Yay!! During the day, she takes about 3 naps or so and as long as I get her down before she is overtired, she goes right to sleep. All in all, a very easy baby! We couldn't be happier! Well, maybe technically I could do without the 4a feed, but even that doesn't bother me too much!

This month, Emme has found her hands and boy are they tasty! She loves to put her whole fist in her mouth, well try anyway. She's also started to "play" with a few toys. By play, I mean she bats at them (purely accidental for the most part) and will hold onto toys that are put in her lap or hung in front of her in her carseat. And yes, if she can, they too go into her mouth.

Here's Emme "playing" with her very first baby doll.
