We spent the day today at Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester, MA on the North Shore. It was our first time going to this beach and it was terrific! Very family friendly and good for the little kids as there were very few waves.
When we got there it was low tide so we took a walk out to the sandbar.
Daddy and his girls

Walking out to the sandbar, Hannah kept finding shells.

We walked out almost 1/3 mile, you can just barely see where the umbrellas are in the way back. It was a very interesting beach, unlike anything I've seen and by the time we left the tide had come back in and the water covered all the way to the umbrellas.

Playing in the water! Such pure happiness!

Hannah really loved jumping the waves.

And so did Emme!! She thought it was so funny!

On our walk back to our towels, we found lots of hermit crabs. Joe showing the girls a hermit crab.

And finally this time, we came prepared to the beach with lots of sand toys, an umbrella, blanket, chairs, snacks/lunch, and a wonder wheeler plus to carry it all in!

Wingaersheek also has rocks to explore.

Emme and Mommy on the rocks.

Taking a break for a refreshing slush.

Emme trying to catch the ball.

Digging a hole.

to bury Hannah in the sand because a trip to the beach would not be complete without it!

We had so much fun and because we came so prepared, were able to stay most of the day!
