Ski Trip - White Mountains, New Hampshire

After Daddy's weeklong business trip to D.C., we picked him up from the airport and headed straight to the White Mountains of New Hampshire for a ski weekend. We stopped for dinner along the way and then found the lovely cottage we rented in Glen, NH. It was just past bedtime when we arrived so we quickly settled in. The girls were so happy to have Daddy home!

All cuddled up for bedtime stories!

Hannah was so excited to sleep in the bunkbeds. It was her first time sleeping on a top bunk.
Mommy and Daddy (OK, maybe just Mommy) was a little nervous so we slept in the same room on the double bed with Emme, a very cozy little family. So why did we rent a 2 bedroom?

Next day...Attitash. Emme dropped off in daycare. Hannah dropped off in ski school. Joe and I getting ready to hit the slopes. At -2 F, it was a chilly morning!

View from the top.

Hannah in ski school. She is one happy little girl on the mountain! She had so much fun!

For my first time back since breaking my wrist, I decided to take a group lesson (as well as wear wrist guards). We actually started out on less than the magic carpet ride slope (I didn't know that was possible). I quickly moved up to the magic carpet and then chair lift and found my groove again.

Back to Hannah's ski school. Hannah and I were actually on the magic carpet ride learning area together. As I was going down, she was riding up the magic carpet yelling to me "great job, Mommy. You're doing great!!" Love that girl!!

As Hannah advanced on the yellow team, she got to start riding the beginner chairlift. Joe and I happened to stop by as they were getting on and her instructor said we could ride with her. We were all so excited!

Apres ski snack at the cottage.

It snowed overnight. A little fresh powder for our next day of skiing.

The second day at Wildcat, Hannah moved to the green team and was riding the chairlift all by herself by the end of the day (with another little boy from her class). She can get down the green runs great. It was so exciting to watch her. She just loved it!!!!
As seems to be the case with our ski trips, a mild stomach bug ran through our family again starting with me on Sunday. I took another lesson (a group lesson that turned out to be private) and then only did another run or 2 before calling it a day since I just didn't feel good. We left the mountain about 3pm and headed home. Monday was a rest day as now all of us except Emme felt lousy...but it was a great fun filled weekend to remember!!!
